Wood Beads Part I Training 2019

Wood Beads Part I is a training course for Scouters (adult leaders), usually the first training course taken. It is an introduction to the Scouting Movement and how we use its educational method to contribute to the development of young people.

In this weekend-long residential course, topics include characteristics of youth in our programs, program planning, games, safety, history of Scouting, uniform, structure of our Scouting association, formal campfires, ceremonies, child abuse prevention, discipline, and other topics which will help you be prepared to bring Baden-Powell's vision to the 21st Century. Upon completion of the course, you will be qualified to wear a special woggle (shown above). All Scouters who have not taken this course are encouraged to attend.
