Wood Beads Part I Training, April 13-15, 2018

Wood Beads Part I is a training course for Scouters (adult leaders), usually the first training course taken. It is an introduction to the Scouting Movement and how we use its educational method to contribute to the development of young people.

In this weekend-long residential course, topics include uniform, structure of our Scouting association, formal campfires, ceremonies, child abuse prevention, discipline, characteristics of youth in our programs, program planning, games, safety, history of Scouting, and other topics which will help you be prepared to bring Baden-Powell's vision to the 21st Century. Upon completion of the course, you will be qualified to wear a special woggle (shown above).
